White Coat Literary — Submission & Publishing Guidelines

Our Mission

White Coat Literary is a boutique independent press dedicated to publishing exceptional fiction and narrative nonfiction with clarity, craftsmanship, and heart. Founded by a physician‑author, our imprint is committed to elevating voices that bring depth, humanity, and intellectual rigor to storytelling — especially in works that explore medicine, ethics, healing, and the human condition.

We champion authors who write with purpose, precision, and emotional resonance.

Our Publishing Focus

White Coat Literary prioritizes manuscripts written by MD and DO physicians, reflecting our commitment to amplifying authentic medical voices and lived clinical experience.

However, we also welcome submissions from non‑physician authors, provided the work is medically themed, medically adjacent, or engages meaningfully with health, illness, ethics, or the human body. Exceptional medically themed submissions from non‑physicians will be fully considered.

Our goal is to publish work that enriches the literary landscape with insight, compassion, and truth — regardless of the author’s credentials.
